are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming school in Askern. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in helping young learners achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Role Overview:
As a TA, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to provide classroom support, reinforce learning objectives, and assist in managing student behaviour. Your role will involve both one-to-one and small group support, as well as helping the class teacher deliver high-quality education tailored to pupils’ individual needs.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing their skills.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in a positive and consistent manner.
  • Encourage student engagement, motivation, and independence.
  • Contribute to the development of learning resources and classroom displays.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children’s education and well-being.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
