Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Royston
Pay Rate: £95 – £113 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day

GSL Education are currently recruiting a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to support schools in Royston. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced cover staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans and maintaining classroom order in the absence of the regular class teacher.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise and engage students in pre-prepared lessons across various subjects.
- Ensure classroom behaviour is managed in line with school policies.
- Provide guidance and support where necessary to ensure learning continues smoothly.
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues encountered during cover.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational or leadership capacity is desirable.
- A confident, resilient, and professional manner.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners.
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
