Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Rotherham, S61
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Drama Teacher to join a welcoming school in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the performing arts experience of pupils and help them develop valuable skills through drama.

As a Drama Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging drama lessons tailored to the curriculum and pupils’ needs.
  • Encouraging creativity, expression, and confidence through performance and theatre activities.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.

To be successful as a Drama Teacher, you should:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching Drama at secondary school level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be creative, energetic, and passionate about performing arts education.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
