Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Hailsham
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Hailsham. About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to provide targeted support for pupils who need additional help with their learning. You'll work with individuals and small groups, helping children build confidence and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying learning needs
- Assist with classroom activities and help maintain a positive learning environment
- Support pupils with reading, writing, numeracy and other curriculum areas
- Help prepare learning materials and resources
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational or care setting
- A patient, encouraging and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
