About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant (TA) in Doncaster, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic and personal development. Working closely with teachers, you’ll provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, helping to overcome learning barriers and foster a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Support Teachers: Assist in planning and delivering personalised learning strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
- One-on-One and Group Interventions: Deliver targeted interventions to support academic progress and social development.
- Promote Positive Learning: Encourage effective study habits and model positive behaviour to inspire student engagement.
- Classroom Support: Help create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment, supporting both students and teachers.
- Monitor Progress: Keep accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
- Liaise with External Agencies: Work collaboratively with professionals to ensure holistic support for students and families.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
- A genuine passion for helping students succeed, with patience and empathy.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
