About the Role:

You will be responsible for planning and delivering the national curriculum to a KS1 class, ensuring that each child feels valued, supported and inspired to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of KS1 learners.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and independence.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and differentiation.
  • Promote positive behaviour and manage the classroom effectively.
  • Establish strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues to support the learning journey.
  • Follow school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Sound understanding of the national primary curriculum and the ability to deliver it creatively.
  • Strong classroom presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to wider school life.
  • Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing and supportive approach.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated and forward-thinking team.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
