About the Role:
This is a rewarding teaching position that offers the opportunity to work in a well-resourced, supportive environment where the learning culture is strong and inclusive. You will be responsible for planning and delivering the national curriculum to a KS1 class, ensuring that each child feels valued, supported and inspired to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of KS1 learners.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and independence.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and differentiation.
- Promote positive behaviour and manage the classroom effectively.
- Establish strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues to support the learning journey.
- Follow school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Sound understanding of the national primary curriculum and the ability to deliver it creatively.
- Strong classroom presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to wider school life.
- Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing and supportive approach.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated and forward-thinking team.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
