Secondary Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £75 - £100 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
Start: Immediate starts
GSL Education are currently recruiting SecondaryCover Supervisors for secondary schools in Sheffield. The role involves managing classrooms and ensuring that pre-set work is completed without the teacher.
Job Summary:
- Supervise classes and ensure students remain on task with the work they have been set.
- Manage classroom behavior and uphold school rules.
- Respond to any questions from students about process and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising classes across various subjects, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher.
- Managing classroom behavior to uphold school policies and standards.
- Providing support to students with their learning as needed.
- Collaborating with colleagues and school leadership to support the overall educational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and behavior effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
- Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
