SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary Scale: £95 to £105 per day
Start Date: September, Full Time - 5 posts available
About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant school community in Sheffield S11. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized support to students with a range of special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support and assistance to students with special educational needs.
- Assist students with their learning activities, both in the classroom and in one-on-one sessions.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and Special Educational Needs Coordinator to implement individualized education plans and support strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a passion for working with children and a desire to make a difference in their lives.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Be willing to learn and adapt to the needs of each individual student.
- Ideally, have some prior experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs.
