Job Title: KS1 Teacher / Primary Teacher

Salary Scale: MPS/UPS £30K-£46.525
Start Date: September
 

GSL Education is seeking a KS1 / Primary Teacher for a school located in the Southampton area. The school requires an experienced professional who has the passion and determination to work with children. The selection of applicants will be based on a trial and interview with the school.
 

The School:
This is a two-form entry school for boys and girls between the ages of 4 to 11 and each class has a capacity for approximately 30 pupils. OFSTED has rated it as ‘Outstanding’ Teaching is of high quality throughout the school. Teachers have benefited from excellent training to develop their confidence and skills through a well-planned programme of professional development. This includes opportunities for skilled staff to learn from each other, both within the school and together with other local academies in the trust. This Primary School is in a great location with a lot of public transport should you not have the ability to drive.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles

• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration

• Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning atmosphere

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents

• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices

• Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Master’s Degree

• Teaching Certification (QTS/PGCE)

• In-depth knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching methodologies

• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for education

• Ability to craft engaging and inclusive lesson plans
