Part-time Supply Teacher

Location: Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part-time, Supply (Flexible working)

Are you a qualified teacher with QTS looking for flexible teaching opportunities across Kent? GSL Education Kent are currently seeking reliable and experienced Part-time Supply Teachers to support secondary schools throughout the county.

This role is specifically suited to teachers who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are confident delivering lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups in secondary schools.

As a Part-time Supply Teacher, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning during staff absences. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged in a positive learning environment.

We work with a wide range of secondary schools across Kent, including academies, grammar schools, and comprehensive schools, many of which are rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. These schools offer supportive environments where both students and staff can thrive.

This is a great opportunity for an adaptable Part-time Supply Teacher who enjoys variety in their work while maintaining the flexibility to choose when and where they teach.

Key Responsibilities of the Part-time Supply Teacher:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons effectively across a variety of subjects and year groups
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
• Provide brief feedback on lesson outcomes and student engagement
• Adapt confidently to different school environments and teaching expectations

Requirements for Part-time Supply Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential (applications without QTS will not be considered)
• Recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom management and adaptability
• Right to work in the UK
