Cover Supervisor – Support Students in Sheffield (S5, S9)
Location: Sheffield – S5, S9
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
GSL Education are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor (CS) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Sheffield (S5, S9). This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and supporting students in their learning journey.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning. Your role will be key in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students complete assigned work
- Manage classroom behaviour and promote a safe and respectful learning space
- Support students in understanding tasks and encourage active participation
- Adapt to different classroom settings and year groups as required
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students
