Location: Thirsk
Salary: 32,916-51,048 per anum 
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026

Chemistry Teacher Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across age ranges
• Develop practical skills through well-structured laboratory activities
• Prepare pupils for examinations and assess progress effectively
• Contribute to science department planning and extra-curricular science enrichment
• Support wider school life through tutoring and involvement in activities

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and practical science
• Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
• Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
