Role: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor (CS) to support schools in Sheffield (S35). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a classroom setting, maintaining continuity of learning, and supporting students when teaching staff are absent.

What to Expect in This Cover Supervisor Role:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, following pre-set lesson plans.
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and focused learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support students with tasks and ensure they remain on track with their learning.
  • Communicate effectively with teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes and any concerns.

Requirements for This Cover Supervisor Role:

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Confidence in leading a classroom and engaging students.
  • A professional, flexible, and proactive approach.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
