Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a knowledgeable History Teacher to join secondary schools in the Sheffield S11 area, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, analytical thinking, and independent learning.
As a History Teacher, you will lead students through key events and themes, developing their critical and evaluative skills while connecting past societies to present-day understanding in a supportive, structured classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-planned lessons covering a broad range of historical topics.
- Support pupils in developing analytical, discussion, and extended writing skills.
- Maintain a focused learning environment through effective behaviour management.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to support progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery.
- Monitor attainment and maintain accurate assessment records.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence working as a History Teacher.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to supporting learners of varying abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
