Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students and help create a positive and engaging learning environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a real difference in their educational journey.

What to Expect in This Teaching Assistant (TA) Role :

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who need extra help.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
  • Support students’ social and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Requirements for This Teaching Assistant (TA) Role:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children learn and develop.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
