Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply)
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day Supply

GSL Education are looking for a caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to provide support for students with additional needs in a variety of school settings in Barnsley (S70, S71). What to Expect in This Role as a SEN TA:
- Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities.
- Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional support.
- Help manage behaviour, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Be a key part of the classroom team, contributing to the overall wellbeing of students.
Requirements for This SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a SEN setting.
- Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
