Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children’s learning?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded primary school in Chelmsford, providing tailored support to a child with additional learning needs.

The Role:

Provide individual support to a child with SEN needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their potential

Assist with classroom activities, small-group learning, and personalised interventions

Support emotional regulation and behaviour using positive strategies

Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to track progress and adapt support as needed

Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in school life
About You:

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language, or social/emotional needs)

A calm, empathetic, and encouraging approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt support to meet individual needs

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable
