SEN Teaching Assistant
 Location: Southwark
  Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  Contract: Full-Time | Monday to Friday
  Start Date: Immediate

 A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Southwark is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children who may have Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs — helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Provide 1:1 or small-group support tailored to individual learning needs.
 - 
Assist teachers in adapting lesson materials and maintaining classroom engagement.
 - 
Encourage students’ confidence, independence, and participation.
 - 
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
 - 
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
 
What We’re Looking For
- 
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (preferred, not essential).
 - 
A patient, caring, and resilient attitude.
 - 
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
 - 
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
 - 
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
