Maths Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic school in Sheffield.

As a Maths Teacher, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, ensuring all students achieve their potential. You will foster curiosity, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through creative and effective teaching methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics across relevant Key Stages following the national curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver creative and differentiated lesson plans to cater to varied learning needs.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages achievement and growth.
  • Support students in developing analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve curriculum design and delivery.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and academic standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and continuous professional development.

Maths Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, NQT, or relevant degree).
  • Specialism in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Maths in UK schools is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and motivation in learners.
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
