Maths Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and committed Maths Teacher eager to inspire students to develop a love for mathematics?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic school in Sheffield.
As a Maths Teacher, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, ensuring all students achieve their potential. You will foster curiosity, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through creative and effective teaching methods.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics across relevant Key Stages following the national curriculum.
- Develop and deliver creative and differentiated lesson plans to cater to varied learning needs.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly.
- Promote a positive learning environment that encourages achievement and growth.
- Support students in developing analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve curriculum design and delivery.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and academic standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and continuous professional development.
Maths Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, NQT, or relevant degree).
- Specialism in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Maths in UK schools is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire confidence and motivation in learners.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
