Pay Scale: £150 - £260 per day – depending on experience & Contract Type

As a Maths Teacher, your role goes far beyond planning and marking — you will play a vital part in shaping confident problem-solvers of the future. Key duties include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and teach a well-structured and engaging Maths curriculum in line with national standards, covering a wide range of mathematical concepts and skills across Key Stages.
- Effective Teaching: Use a variety of teaching methods, practical activities, and digital tools to make maths accessible and enjoyable for all learners.
- Assessment of Progress: Track and assess student performance through regular testing, classwork, homework, and assignments, offering constructive feedback to support progress.
- Promoting Mathematical Thinking: Encourage students to develop critical thinking, logical reasoning, and resilience in problem-solving.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and orderly learning environment that supports student participation and encourages a strong work ethic in mathematics.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with advancements in mathematics education and pedagogy, participating in continuous CPD and bringing innovative practice into the classroom.
The successful Maths Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent – PGCE, BSc/BEd with QTS in Mathematics).
- Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and challenge learners.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
- DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
