Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Bognor. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a pupil’s educational journey while supporting teachers in delivering personalised learning.

Role Overview:

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will be working closely with teachers and SENCOs, the 1:1 LSA helps implement personalised learning plans, supports task completion, and fosters the pupil’s confidence, independence, and resilience.

As a 1:1 LSA, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with specific learning needs or additional challenges.
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing their confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and social development in pupils.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on pupil progress to help adapt support as needed.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

Requirements for 1:1 LSA:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to individualised support.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed academically and personally.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
