A well-regarded and welcoming primary school in Loughton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a delightful Year 2 class within a supportive, forward-thinking school that values creativity, collaboration, and a nurturing approach to education. The successful candidate will be joining a committed team who work closely together to provide engaging, high-quality learning experiences for all pupils.

The Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure the best outcomes

  • Prepare pupils for the transition to KS2 with confidence and enthusiasm

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where possible

This part-time position offers a great work-life balance, making it ideal for an experienced teacher looking for reduced hours or an ECT seeking a supportive setting.

About You

We’re looking for a teacher who is:

  • Qualified (QTS or equivalent) with experience in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable)

  • Passionate about providing creative and engaging lessons that inspire children to learn

  • Confident in planning, assessment, and adapting teaching to meet individual needs

  • Positive, approachable, and an excellent communicator

  • A team player who enjoys being part of a collaborative school community
