SEN Teacher
Location: Lytchett Minster
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator who strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? GSL Education are seeking an inspiring SEN Teacher to join schools in Lytchett Minster.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, or mental health challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative, inclusive lessons tailored to students’ individual needs.
  • Develop and monitor EHCPs to ensure students receive the best possible support.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Encourage independence and confidence through differentiated learning strategies.
  • Track and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching or supporting students with special educational needs.
  • A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behaviour management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
