Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Bognor Regis
Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Complex Needs TA to join a nurturing specialist school in Bognor Regis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional learning, communication, or physical needs in achieving their personal and educational goals.

As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to pupils with a range of complex learning, physical, or medical needs.


As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for pupils with complex learning needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education and care plans (EHCPs).
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to promote emotional regulation and wellbeing.
  • Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and communication needs as required.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent progress and support.


Requirements for Complex Needs Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children or young people with complex or additional needs (e.g., autism, PMLD, SLD, or medical needs).
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
