Pay Rate: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming school in Barnham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the classroom by supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing, particularly those with additional needs.
Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be working closely with the class teacher and SEN staff, you will provide targeted support to pupils who may need extra help to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across a range of subjects.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and participation in learning activities.
- Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning needs.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships.
- Contribute to pupils’ emotional and social development.
Requirements for a Learning Support Assistant:
- Experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
