Salary: £89 - £95 per day

About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate Autism Support Worker to join the team. You will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them access the curriculum, manage behaviour, and develop key skills. Your support will make a direct difference to students’ learning and personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with autism across educational, behavioural, and social development.

  • Implement individualised strategies to aid communication, emotional regulation, and transitions.

  • Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and differentiated learning activities.

  • Provide personal care support where required.

  • Conduct observations to inform planning and collaborate with teachers and SENCOs.

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with autism or SEN in educational settings.

  • Knowledge of behaviour management, communication strategies, and differentiation techniques.

  • Ability to adapt lessons and learning resources to individual needs.

  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures and commitment to child protection.
