Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Camden, North London
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Monday – Friday 

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in education as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant in a specialised SEN school in Camden — a setting where compassion meets progress and every achievement counts.

You’ll be joining a warm, dedicated team that supports children with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role will give you hands-on classroom experience and the chance to develop the skills needed for a future career in psychology, therapy, or teaching.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils reach their individual learning goals.

  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons to suit each child’s learning style and ability.

  • Encourage communication, confidence, and social interaction through creative and practical activities.

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.

  • Help maintain an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.

What We’re Looking For

  • A recent graduate (Psychology, Education, or related discipline preferred).

  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with children with SEN.

  • Strong communication, empathy, and adaptability.

  • Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure.

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
