Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants – Full Time

Location: Redditch
Salary: £89 - £100 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent


An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ SEN School in Redditch is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team on a full-time basis. Candidates with experience across Early Years to Year 8 are encouraged to apply.

The provision supports pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)

  • PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)

  • MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)

  • Down’s Syndrome

  • ADHD

  • Challenging Behaviour

The complexity and severity of needs vary across classes.


About the Role:

  • Full-Time position: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

  • Potential for a permanent contract following successful placement

  • Work across Key Stages 1 to 4, providing both 1:1 and small group support

  • Support teachers with planning, lesson delivery, classroom management, and behaviour support

  • Assist with classroom organisation and learning displays

  • Monitor pupil progress and support their personal development

  • Contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning space

Each class typically has around 10 pupils, supported by 1 Teacher and 2 Learning Support Assistants, with strong backing from an excellent leadership team.


✅ Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in schools or care/child-related settings

  • Confident supporting needs such as Autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, PMLD, SEMH

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • Understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies

  • Resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through GSL Education

  • Able to commit to full-time, term-time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
