Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive school in Sheffield. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping pupils develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills within a nurturing school environment.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Implement tailored behaviour support strategies to promote engagement and positive learning experiences.
- Encourage pupils to build self-esteem, resilience, and interpersonal skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to create consistent support plans.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching and support teams.
- Help maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive school environment.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
