Role Overview
As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that bring history to life. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities of History Teacher
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Encourage critical thinking, debate, and historical inquiry.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as history clubs, themed events, or educational trips.
- Uphold safeguarding and health and safety standards in all aspects of teaching.
Essential Qualifications for History Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
- Experience teaching History at secondary level.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for historical education and student engagement.
