Pay Scale: M1 – M6 (in line with experience)
Contract: Full Time, Maternity Cover
Start Date: January 2026


Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher looking for a rewarding new role from January 2026? GSL Education are currently seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to cover a maternity leave at a welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Pocklington. This is a full-time role running until July 2026, offering the opportunity to join a supportive department and make a real impact on students’ learning and progress.

As a Teacher of Maths, your Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 advantageous but not essential).
  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress to ensure consistent improvement.
  • Create a positive and inspiring learning environment that promotes enthusiasm for Maths.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.

Teacher of Maths Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students of all abilities.
