Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Easter Term 2025

Are you a passionate Drama Teacher ready to inspire confidence, creativity, and collaboration in young learners? GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Sheffield from Easter Term 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to make a meaningful impact, nurturing students’ communication skills, imagination, and self-expression through engaging drama lessons.

About the Role:
As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver stimulating and interactive lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging students to explore performance, improvisation, and stagecraft. You will also support their written and practical assessment preparation while promoting confidence and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Drama up to GCSE level, inspiring and motivating students of all abilities.

  • Plan and deliver creative, curriculum-aligned lessons.

  • Develop pupils’ performance, script work, and presentation skills.

  • Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

  • Contribute to school productions and departmental planning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Specialism in Drama or Performing Arts.

  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary level (GCSE desirable).

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the performing arts.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • A ten-year career history with references covering the past two years, including your most recent role.
