Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Worksop
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH TA to join a supportive school in Worksop. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in helping children and young people develop confidence, emotional regulation, and positive learning habits.
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural challenges, both in and outside of the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to promote engagement and wellbeing.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage motivation and positive behaviour.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions focused on emotional regulation, resilience, and social skills.
- Assist in tracking pupil progress and contribute to individual support and behaviour plans.
- Help to maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural, or SEND needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and consistent approach to behaviour management.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive, caring attitude and a genuine passion for education.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
