Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are currently seeking a SEN TA to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Sheffield. This rewarding role is perfect for someone who wants to make a genuine difference by supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning.
- Support the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities.
- Implement individual learning and behaviour support plans under the guidance of the SENCO.
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and confidence in pupils.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and support staff.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent support.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, or other additional learning needs (desirable).
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
