Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are currently seeking an SEMH TA to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Dinnington. This rewarding position is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils who face emotional or behavioural challenges and require additional support to thrive in their learning.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them engage in learning and build confidence.
- Implement individual support plans and behaviour strategies in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
- Encourage positive relationships, resilience, and self-regulation among pupils.
- Support the development of social and emotional skills through targeted interventions.
- Promote a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.
- Assist teachers in tracking pupil progress and contributing to intervention plans.
- Model positive behaviour and act as a mentor and role model to pupils.
Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH, behavioural, or additional learning needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting challenging behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm, consistent, and supportive in all situations.
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
