Salary: £88.92 - £95 per day

About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping individual students reach their potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support, helping students to engage fully in classroom activities and develop essential life skills.
Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging.

Assist with personal care when required, maintaining the dignity and comfort of the student.

Implement individual learning plans (IEPs), supporting specific academic and personal goals.

Monitor and report on student progress, sharing insights with teachers and the SEN team.

Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and well-being.

Support students in social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and independence.
Qualifications

Experience supporting students with SEN, preferably in a school or educational setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to different learning needs.

Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff.

Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to working with children with diverse needs.

DBS check (or willingness to apply) and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
