About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN. This position allows you to make a tangible impact on students’ learning experiences while working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance.
Responsibilities

Support teachers in classroom activities, ensuring students with SEN can access lessons effectively.

Provide 1:1 support to students as required, including helping them stay focused and engaged.

Assist with personal care tasks where needed, maintaining dignity and respect for all students.

Implement individual education plans (IEPs) or learning support plans to meet students’ unique needs.

Monitor and report on student progress, highlighting achievements and challenges to teaching staff.

Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
Qualifications

Experience supporting children with SEN in a classroom or similar educational setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to different student needs.

Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

Patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting student development.

DBS check (or willingness to apply) and knowledge of safeguarding requirements.
