Salary: £90 - £100 per day

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN. This position allows you to make a tangible impact on students’ learning experiences while working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in classroom activities, ensuring students with SEN can access lessons effectively.

  • Provide 1:1 support to students as required, including helping them stay focused and engaged.

  • Assist with personal care tasks where needed, maintaining dignity and respect for all students.

  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) or learning support plans to meet students’ unique needs.

  • Monitor and report on student progress, highlighting achievements and challenges to teaching staff.

  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a classroom or similar educational setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to different student needs.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

  • Patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting student development.

  • DBS check (or willingness to apply) and knowledge of safeguarding requirements.
