Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming schoolin Sheffield. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting pupils’ learning, development, and emotional well-being in a nurturing environment.
As an SEN TA, your primary role is to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) to access learning and reach their full potential.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals.
- Provide 1:1 or small group assistance to pupils requiring additional support.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored interventions and differentiated learning activities.
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Assist in maintaining an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff as needed.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children with SEN or additional learning needs (desirable).
- A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to supporting young learners.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
