SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Setting – Bexhill-on-Sea

Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time
Location: Bexhill-on-Sea

GSL Education are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to pupils with special educational needs across the school. You'll work closely with teachers and the SENCo to help children access learning, develop their skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment. Your role will be key to ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN across Key Stage 1 and 2
  • Deliver tailored interventions and learning programmes
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCo
  • Assist with curriculum access and differentiated activities
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to review meetings

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a primary SEN role
  • Knowledge of different special educational needs (autism, ADHD, speech & language delays, etc.)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
