Behaviour Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for dedicated and motivated Behaviour Mentors to join schools across Sheffield.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils to support positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. You will provide guidance, encouragement, and one-to-one or small group support, helping pupils engage effectively with their learning and school life.

Main Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Support pupils in developing positive behaviour and social skills.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to mentor and guide pupils.
  • Liaise with teachers and school staff to create a consistent approach to behaviour management.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and personal development.

Behaviour Mentor Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in schools or similar settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A positive, empathetic approach to supporting pupils’ emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
