Secondary Classroom Support – Eastleigh, Hampshire
Start Date: Immediate / After October Half Term | Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent or Ad-Hoc Basis
Salary: £13.68 per hour

GSL Education are recruiting Secondary Classroom Support to join mainstream secondary schools in Eastleigh. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping young people succeed, as well as university students who are keen to experience working in a professional school environment.
As a Secondary Classroom Support, you will assist teachers in the classroom, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create a positive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. This position offers both permanent and ad-hoc opportunities, giving you the flexibility to shape your career in education.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide learning support to pupils both individually and in small groups.
- Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Encourage student participation, confidence, and progress across subjects.
- Support behaviour management and maintain a productive learning environment.
- Help pupils develop effective study skills and access the curriculum.
- Adapt to different subject areas and classroom settings.
Secondary Classroom Support Requirements:
- A genuine interest in working with young learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt and support students of varying needs.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or similar.
- A degree in Education or a similar field.
- Previous experience in schools, childcare, or youth work is desirable.
- Flexible, proactive, and motivated attitude.
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply.
