Supply Teacher
Location: Various locations across North Yorkshire, including Pocklington, York, and Selby
Contract: Supply / Flexible (Full-time or Part-time)
Start Date: January 2026 or sooner

GSL Education are seeking reliable Supply Teachers to work across secondary schools in Pocklington, York, and Selby. Supply Teacher Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across a variety of subjects, following school policies and curriculum guidelines.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners, including those with additional support requirements.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can achieve their best.
  • Manage behaviour effectively, maintaining high standards and expectations.
  • Provide continuity of learning during staff absences and contribute to the life of the school where required.

The Ideal Supply Teacher Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
  • A flexible, positive approach and a passion for supporting students’ education.
  • Experience across either primary or secondary settings (or both).
  • An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
