Individual Needs Assistant - SEN Primary School, Eastbourne

£90 - £100 per day | Full-time, Long-term | Start ASAP

GSL Education is looking for a caring and committed Individual Needs Assistant to join a nurturing SEN primary school in Eastbourne, starting as soon as possible.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with a range of special educational needs
  • Help children access learning activities and develop independence
  • Support communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
  • Implement tailored learning strategies and interventions
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, therapists, and families
  • Monitor and record student progress and achievements

You Have

  • Experience working with children with SEN in education or care settings
  • Understanding of diverse learning needs
  • Patient, nurturing, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Desirable: Primary school experience, knowledge of autism/learning disabilities, relevant SEN qualifications
