Behaviour Support Assistant - SEN Primary School, Eastbourne

£90 - £100 per day | Full-time, Long-term | Start ASAP

GSL Education is looking for an enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN primary school in Eastbourne, starting as soon as possible.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies
  • Help children develop self-regulation and social skills
  • Support students to engage with learning in a safe, structured environment
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCo, and families
  • Monitor and record behaviour patterns and progress

You Have

  • Experience supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs
  • Understanding of SEN and trauma-informed approaches
  • Calm, patient, and consistent approach to challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Desirable: Primary school experience, Team Teach training, knowledge of autism/ADHD
