SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Shoreham
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools across Shoreham.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a classroom environment. Working one-to-one or in small groups, you will encourage engagement, promote independence, and create a safe, inclusive learning space where every child feels valued.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with SEN in line with their individual learning plans.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to different learning needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote confidence in pupils.
- Provide both academic and social-emotional support.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and outside professionals.
- Maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly valued.
- Compassion, patience, and resilience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
