SEMH Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £150 – £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking motivated and resilient SEMH Teachers to join schools across Doncaster.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for pupils with SEMH needs. You will tailor learning plans to each student’s needs, ensuring both academic and personal growth. Your role will be to encourage confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
SEMH Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative lessons adapted to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH.
- Provide both academic and emotional support to encourage student progress.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and pastoral teams to implement effective strategies.
- Build strong relationships with students to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the overall ethos of the school community.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent.
- Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviours is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing, supportive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
