Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £150 - £230 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Start Date: Immediate
Are you a passionate and resilient educator with a commitment to supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Sheffield, starting immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of SEMH students.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic development.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive social interactions.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching approaches.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching style.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
To work with GSL Education as an SEMH Teacher, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
