Do you have the patience, resilience, and positivity to support children with behavioural needs?
We’re looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a well-regarded primary school in Chelmsford. Starting immediately, this full-time role offers the chance to work closely with pupils who need extra support managing their emotions, making positive choices, and engaging with learning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.

Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their confidence and self-esteem.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support plans.

Encourage social and emotional development both in and out of the classroom.
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs (school, youth work, or similar).

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations calmly.

A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.

Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from school staff.

A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
