Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH pupils, helping them engage with learning, develop key skills, and build confidence both academically and personally.
Role Overview:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons designed to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH challenges. You will create a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel supported to learn and thrive.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging lessons to pupils with SEMH needs across relevant key stages.
- Plan and adapt learning activities to meet the individual requirements of each pupil.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans.
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain patient, resilient, and flexible when supporting challenging behaviour.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
