Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £110 per day
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in education and supporting young people? GSL Education is looking for motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work at a Client Secondary School in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant requirements:
- Proven experience and understanding of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, certificate, or diploma.
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience within an educational setting, supported by references.
- The ability to engage with and build strong relationships with young people.
- Confidence in managing behaviour effectively in a school environment.
- Awareness of additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, MLD, and SEMH.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
Level 2 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assisting teachers in the delivery of interactive and engaging lessons.
- Providing 1:1 support as well as small group assistance to students..
- Offering additional support to students who need extra support.
- Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and on educational visits as required.
- Tracking and recording pupil progress, reporting concerns to teaching staff.
- Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
