Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £110 per day

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in education and supporting young people? GSL Education is looking for motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work at a Client Secondary School in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Proven experience and understanding of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, certificate, or diploma.
  • A minimum of 6 months’ experience within an educational setting, supported by references.
  • The ability to engage with and build strong relationships with young people.
  • Confidence in managing behaviour effectively in a school environment.
  • Awareness of additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, MLD, and SEMH.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of interactive and engaging lessons.
  • Providing 1:1 support as well as small group assistance to students..
  • Offering additional support to students who need extra support.
  • Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and on educational visits as required.
  • Tracking and recording pupil progress, reporting concerns to teaching staff.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
